Activities range from quad biking, hovercrafts and Honda pilots to air rifles, clay pigeon shooting and archery. abseiling

This is a real test of your courage, as you begin your descent from the the walls of Peckforton Castle. Each individual will take it in turn to reveal their adventurous side and complete the descent, with support from their team mates and guidance from our expert instructors.

Our instructors will teach the basic principles of abseiling before individuals “Ab” the castle walls. Abseiling (abbing) is sliding down a fixed rope, using a climbing harness and a friction device to control the speed of the descent. Your Great Escape abseils are unique because of the levels of safety the professional instructors employ.

archery

Can you hit a bull? Under the guidance of a Your Great Escape instructor, learn the ancient sport of archery. Full size competition targets and arrows are used. Compete against you fellow colleagues to achieve the highest individual and team scores all in healthy competition.

torque and target

A great team challenge with the opportunity for individuals to shine through on a range of diverse activities including Hovercrafts, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Archery, Blind Driving and 4x4 off road driving. The variation between motorised and target activities means there’s something for everyone. Our expert instructors will guide everyone from the complete novice, then it’s over to you.

country pursuits

What better way to relax and reward your staff than an afternoon spent learning some of our favourite country pursuits? These authentic activities are instructed by specialists in their own field and their experiences will be passed onto you as you fly birds of prey, “dust” clay pigeons and fire arrows all in healthy competitive spirit. For the more ambitious, take on duck herding… with a whistle and a sheep dog, try and herd these ducks through the testing course! We guarantee you will leave with a lasting memory of these traditional country pursuits.

If it’s fun and laughter you are seeking, our Donkey Derby is perfect. When it’s your group’s chance to compete, you will race against your fellow team members to be the first to cross the finish line of our donkey derby race course. Before and after your race, you’ll also enjoy watching the other teams compete as you support from the sidelines. The session will conclude with a spectacular finale. clay pigeon shooting

This is one of our most popular activities and ideal for a relaxing morning or afternoon. Our instructors will guide everyone regardless of experience ensuring everyone hits a clay! Enjoy a practice session followed by a friendly competition. All of our shooting grounds offer a landscape second to none, fantastic terrain for an authentic Farm Shoot.

land rover experience

We are all proud of how well we drive, but how good are we really? Guided by expert instructors from Land Rover the activity will test a driver’s ability to the extreme as you drive around the Peckforton Castle Estate woodland. Complete with passenger team mates who we are sure will relax and enjoy the ride, confident of the driving abilities of their chauffeur, the Land Rover Experience is a highly memorable event!

We have the use of around 500 acres of woodland, climbing to the 200 metre Stanner Nab viewpoint, giving stunning views over the Cheshire plain and stretching as far as Liverpool. It covers a wide range of off-road obstacles to test vehicle and driver.

It is an ideal antidote to the stresses of busy life. You will be taught by the highest calibre instructors who are all members of the Association of Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructors. Their knowledge of this English classical country sport is all encompassing, providing a fascinating insight into the aquatic wildlife world - and all at the idyllic dearnford lake.

Think you’re the next Tarrentino? Our movie making brings people together to write, film and star in their own big-screen blockbuster.

This is your chance to prove to the world that you actually do have acting skills (or perhaps not?). Participants are divided into teams and are equipped with prop boxes, costumes and make-up kits. Movie themes can be absolutely anything but we do have a few suggestions. Movie making has something for everyone ... it gives participants a chance to be creative and enjoy working as a team to produce really entertaining results.

Why not let us stage an Oscars Awards Ceremony in the evening... we'll edit and screen your movies during desserts and award Oscar trophies for the lucky winners. Fun and screams of laughter are absolutely guaranteed! Each participant will receive a full edited DVD of the event - a great way to remember the day.

Falconry is regarded as an ancient art ... a pastime which used to be popular amongst Kings. It involves learning how to handle and fly birds of prey. A falconry day is an educational experience which encourages a ‘hands-on’ approach. Our expert falconers will dazzle you with some stunning demonstrations, but the highlight of the day involves your participation. Guided by our highly skilled falconers, you’re given the opportunity to learn to handle and fly the birds.

Remember the hit 70s TV show where teams competed representing their local towns? Well now is your chance. Compete against your rivals, taking part in a variety of inflatable games involving soapy suds, lots of laughter and adrenalin-pumped action.
