Abseiling

Abseiling events begin with a full safety brief and an explanation of the basic principles of abseiling from our qualified abseil instructors.

Abseiling [abbing] is sliding down a fixed rope, using a climbing harness and a friction device to control the speed of the descent. The technique is used primarily as a means of descent from a rock climb or a mountain. Your Great Escape abseils differ, as they are set up by professional instructors who have full control of each participant, by utilising a safety back up rope and a releasable main rope.

Abseiling is only available at certain locations – please contact us for further details.

Hope House

"You and your team of instructors were all fantastic, very helpful and knowledgeable, but also contributing to the fun and banter on the day which makes all the difference. Their interaction with the teams was perfect! Having the opportunity to meet you prior to the event and discuss our requirements was really beneficial. The event ran absolutely perfectly, enabling us to enjoy the day as planned without feeling pressured from a time perspective - there were no issues or concerns at all."
