The medieval challenge provides an interesting blend of target sports and ‘design and build’ challenges. Archery requires a good aim and a steady hand, as teams compete against one another to achieve the highest team average. There are practice sessions before the competition begins. Trebuchet building requires a little more thought and effective teamwork, as teams are challenged to construct a working trebuchet catapult, in accordance with the plans provided.
The day will conclude with an exciting finale as teams put their trebuchets to the test. One by one, each team will fire at a fixed target, hoping to achieve the highest overall team score and win prizes.
