This is an extended version of our formula fun karting, where teams are provided with pedal karts, within their own private pit area, and all the materials needed to design and build their own unique race car.
Race cars must be built in accordance with the instructions given by the ‘Stidge’, and he will award positions on the grid according to how well each team’s design has met his brief. Teams line up on the grid according to their qualifying result and the race commences with a Le Mans style start. Each car must pit once every two laps to change drivers, so team work is essential in order to achieve the fastest qualifying time.
In this extended version, it’s not simply a case of designing the most impressive racer; teams must first gain sponsorship in order to purchase their parts and equipment. The winner is the team who finishes the season with the highest profits, made by shrewd purchases, recycling, sponsorship and prize money.
